Why I am a Theist I believe there is a universal need of humanity to define right and wrong. I believe there is an Absolute Good that defines right and wrong. I believe the source of this Good is also absolute. I believe human logic is faulty and useless on its own in discovering this Source. I believe that reason must be guided by faith. I believe that reason, tradition, faith, and experience, when used together, will discover Truth. I believe that theism, when uncorrupted by human logic, is in opposition to tyranny, oppression, and evil. I believe that theism, when uncorrupted by human logic, is the only way to recognize tyranny, oppression, and evil. I believe human logic is the usual tyrant’s excuse to corrupt the Absolute Good. I believe human logic diminishes the individual. No longer a special creation, he is merely the sum of his parts. I believe human logic corrupts morality, turning it into a means to an end and a matter of personal taste. I believe that atheism/agnosticism fails to fulfill humanity’s need for Absolute Truth and Good, and is therefore not automatically justified.
